The Blackbox enables you to analyze WebLogic server state even after a system failure (crash). When AutoPilot monitoring is ON for a particular server, AutoPilot anticipates a potential hung conditions and takes a “snapshot” of the WebLogic server state for analysis later in the event a failure actually occurs. You can also create a Blackbox at any time to save the state of WebLogic server for later analysis.
To create a Blackbox:
Click on AutoPilot WL > AutoPilot Blackbox > Run Blackbox. The AutoPilot Blackbox Start Screen displays.

Select the server from the drop-down menu and click Create Blackbox; AutoPilot creates the Blackbox for the server selected. When AutoPilot successfully creates the Blackbox, a message appears asking you to click on the Display Blackbox node.
Click on AutoPilot > Display Blackbox to display the Show Blackbox screen which shows the following:
Server: The name of the WebLogic server for which the Blackbox was created.
Session: The timestamp indicating when the server, along with AutoPilot was started, during which the snapshot was taken.
Time: The timestamp of the exact time the Blackbox was created.
