The Blackbox enables you to analyze WebLogic server state even after a system failure (crash). When Applicare monitoring is ON for a particular server, Applicare anticipates a potential hung conditions and takes a “snapshot” of the WebLogic server state for analysis later in the event a failure actually occurs. You can also create a Blackbox at any time to save the state of WebLogic server for later analysis.
To create a Blackbox:

· Server: The name of the WebLogic server for which the Blackbox was created.
· Session: The timestamp indicating when the server, along with Applicare was started, during which the snapshot was taken.
· Time: The timestamp of the exact time the Blackbox was created.
· The Server Structure Tree showing categories of the server runtime MBeans.

4. Double click on a category or click
on the plus icon. The MBean nodes, designated by the (
)
icon, are displayed.
5. Click on the MBean node you want to analyze. The Blackbox displays Property and Value data for the MBean at the time the snapshot was taken.
