The Tuning Reports provide a look at the performance of your WebLogic system before it was tuned with Applicare and after it was tuned.
The JVM Tuning Analyzer provides a chart of the performance of the JVM Garbage Collector and JVM Heap Utilization with different initialization settings.
This report shows a particular tunable's performance before and after tuning was performed ie if Threads are tuned in a particular session then this shows the results of threads tuning in the beginning and end of that Threads tuning session.
To access Tuning Analyzer (Individual Effect) Select Applicare for WebLogic > Tuning > Tuning Analyzer (Individual Effect) from the tree in the left pane.
In the image below Queue Size is shown before and after the tuning. Acceptable Queue Size at the end of the tuning is a configurable item in configuration of Applicare. For this Tuning it is not set to Zero. It is also not recommended to be set to Zero, it is not bad to have a little bit in the queue but becomes an issue if keeps growing.
In the image below HEAP USED is shown before and after the tuning.
To access Tuning Analyzer (Cumulative Effect) Select Applicare for WebLogic > Tuning > Tuning Analyzer (Cumulative Effect) from the tree in the left pane.
This chart shows your overall WebLogic performance before and after tuning a particular tunable is tuned ie if Threads are tuned in a particular session then this chart shows the queue size before the tuning started and after it was completed for all the tunables.
The image below shows the cumulative effect of the same tuning ie once all the tunables were tuned cumulative effect was as shown below.

To access the JVM Tuning Analyzer Select Applicare for WebLogic > Tuning > JVM Tuning Analyzer from the tree in the left pane.
Select the right tuning session and hit apply.
Applicare displays various charts, each showing the behavior of garbage collector and heap utilization under a condition that is defined in JVMParams.props. Applicare automatically selects the most appropriate settings based on performance of WebLogic/Enterprise Application deployed on it. Applicare applies most optimal configuration to WebLogic Server/JVM startup command (in remote start configuration tab of WebLogic console). But you can always analyze the charts yourself and decide on settings that works the best and override the one selected by Arcturus Applicare.
Keep in mind you are free to change the settings in JVMParams.props and let Applicare try them for you. Applicare uses the settings defined in JVMParams.props to start the WebLogic server hence if there is an error in those params or a JVMParams.props for wrong JVM is in place, Applicare wouldn't be able to create a JVM/start WebLogic and tuning will not take place.
This Report allows you to compare multiple tuning sessions side-by-side, charting Heap Used, Queue Size, Throughput and Waiters Count.
